Do you prep your eyebrows before you tweeze?

beauty fixation pre tweeze treatment

Last week I found myself staring at my eyebrows in the mirror thinking, "LOOK AT THESE CATERPILLARS!" It's been a while since my last eyebrow grooming session. Ever since my trip to the Benefit Brow Bar, I've been able to maintain the new thick shape of my brows. However, I'm not sure I like the shape anymore. I don't want super thin eyebrows, but I just don't feel like my current brows are giving enough tude. I've got a diva-esque personality and I want my eyebrows to match.

Anyway. I decided to clean up my brows last week and went for my Beauty Fixation Pre-Tweeze Treatment to numb the skin around the hairs. This treatment includes double-sided cotton swabs that are filled with a topical pain reliever and antiseptic. You break one side of the swab and it releases the numbing formula into the other cotton swab's head. You then apply it to the skin before you start tweezing.

I remember being a kid and watching my mother do her own eyebrows. She used to put Vaseline on the skin where she wanted to tweeze. I followed in her footsteps and did that for a while. It really does make plucking the hairs easier, but is also quite messy. Using the Beauty Fixation Pre-Tweeze Treatment swabs is not as messy and makes tweezing less ouch-able.
